Julie Séguin's official colour for this campaign has been orange. Ironically, it is François Picard that is usually associated to the NDP. Rushing to do a class presentation, Séguin gracefully accepted our invitation to sit down for a chat.
How did she get everyone's email address? (see post) "We entered them one by one in the University of Ottawa search engine, taking them from our Facebook Groups." she added "That's what the search engine is for." That's creativity for you.
How does she feel, a mere hours away from the final moments of the campaign? "I would prefer to keep campaigning, but I do realise that it is the tightest race and I got a lot of positive feedback. I wouldn't be surprised if I won, I would be on 7th heaven, and I want the job. I want it. I want it. I want it."
And in a few hours, she might have it.
I like asking candidates what they like and dislike in their opponent's platforms. She thinks Picard's best idea is the "Green Week", and she left before she could answer what his worst idea was. Sporting her orange pants, Séguin took off like the flash.
Full disclaimer: before leaving, she bribed this blogger with candy hearts.
