Note to candidates: Go above and beyond. Make videos. Blog. Be accessible to all students.
I just found this video and I must say, wow. Julie Séguin was invited to an event and she could not stay very long. After a cameo appearance, she made this video and she (most likely) forwarded it La LIEU (the group that had invited her). Candidates can't be everywhere at once. Using now media is a way to reach a larger number of students.

I agree with Wassim. I think candidates should make more videos like this one. Go Dean! Make as many as possible!
So long as you have or know someone who has a camera, firewire/mode of transferring, and a computer and program that supports writing formats that are compatible with Youtube.
Total cost: more than what a lot of people have just kicking around.
Sure, making video is good. But it is also a bit of a bougie endeavour, no? Yes, there are a ton of people that have these things around us, but access to such resources shouldn't be mandatory/essential.
