I just received the official list from the Elections Office and...
Surprise, surprise, François Picard's name is not on the official list.
This is the version I have, and I will not change it until I get official confirmation:
François Picard is still in France, or in an airplane over the Atlantic right now.
A group of volunteers would have picked up signatures for François Picard and handed it to the Elections office at around 3:52PM.
Let's wait and see.

Could the official list of candidates not serve as "official confirmation"? Just a thought.
François' name could not be on the list because the list is for the bilingualism test which he doesn't need to pass a second time because of his past results
