The beauty of running this blog is the ability to meet people. Ted Horton, some person I did not know before a few minutes ago, came and sat down next to me. He was straight forward. "My name is Ted Horton, I am running for the BOA in social sciences." I made the lamest remark, "oh, like Tim Horton's. You must hear that often." He took the joke in stride. He must hear it 1000 times a day.
What is the main theme of the platform? "More student involvement" Oh! So a General assembly? "Not quite." Wouldn't that be the ultimate student involvement? "Yes, but it would have to be well organised. You wouldn't want certain students to sabotage it."
And this is how it goes at the SFUO. Everyone agrees. And when you don't agree, you disagree slightly.
Thanks for dropping by Ted.

Students have no business being involved in the board... Perhaps if BOA candidates understood what a corporate board is supposed to do, they wouldn't have such ludicrous platforms.
WASSIM! wassim, look! disagreement! someone's disagreeing, look at that! too bad it's anonymous, but it's a first.
Hey anonymous, read the constitution governing that board.
also, yes we are incorporated, but no it doesn't mean we have to act like a bunch of visionless jerks.
