By-election campaign: The platforms

The SFUO Blog 1 - The Elections Office 0.

While the SFUO's official website is still showing a blank page, the SFUO Blog has got you covered.

Here are the platforms of all three candidates. I have made no changes to them and I am posting them as I have received them.

In alphatbetical order:

Renaud-Philippe Garner
Dean Haldenby
Joseph Wesley Richards II

All platforms are bilingual.

Any other requests?

Out of left field, Renaud hits a homerun. Too bad he doesn't know how to campaign.

Hi Wassim

So on Garner's page there is no section to ask questions or make comments. Fair enough, I guess.

But when you dial what appears to be a phone number (without an area code) it is a long-distance call. I tried 613 and 819, but neither were local.

If you know how to get a hold of him, could you post that here? I have a few questions to ask him.

Renaud is Mr. Idea in this race. It's a damn shame he decided against a "normal" campaign. He really has charisma though, who knows.

For some reason, when I click on any of the candidate's names to view the platform, the page is completely blank. Any ideas?

Where is the only platform that really matters - Soundwave?

If we're discussing website maintenance, why does the Blog description link to "Posting Etiquette" link to the student fee breakdown?

Ted: Burn.
It has been fixed.

I would love to have a chat with RPG about the line "access for the handicapped". Unfortunately, if there's one thing that's more innaccessible than the uOttawa campus on a snowy day, it's getting in touch with Mr. Garner.
