ELECTIONS.SFUO.CA WEBSITE IS PATHETIC: As demonstrated here, here and here, The SFUO Blog™ was able to do something in 30 minutes that the Elections Office was unable to do in a week: Put up the candidates' platforms online. We were told the platforms were up and running the next day. It turns out, Francophones of this campus still have no idea who is running in the by-elections. At least they'll know when to vote.
SFUO EXECUTIVES DO NOT KNOW HOW TO BLOG: "In order to better let students know what their SFUO executive is up to, regular updates will be posted on the SFUO website." Remember that promise? I do. This is the result. To Dean Haldenby's credit, he is the last member of this current executive to have posted an update.
AUSTIN MENYASZ WILL BE HEARD: The PIDSSA President will have his complaint heard by the Elections Committee on Monday night. More details to come. (Refrain from comments. There's a post right here for that.)
VIDEOS! VIDEOS! VIDEOS!: Expect to see at least one candidate release a video on Monday. My sources tell me it will be a 2 minute video and it will be put up on YouTube. The SFUO Blog™ will keep you covered.-
EMAILS! EMAILS! EMAILS!: The vote is in two days. Expect spam in your inbox. At least two candidates will be sending out mass-emails to students in the next days. (Arts and Law students beware)
BOA CANDIDATES COUNT TOO: Along with the Presidential by-elections, students from three faculties will have the opportunity to vote "Yes/No" to their BOA candidates. Last week, all three candidates were invited and only one took up the invitation. Mélissa Borduas, running for Health Science, gave an excellent speech in front of the 100+ present last Friday. Michael T. Brown, running for the Faculty of Common Law, was not able to attend, but was gracious enough to submit his platform to The SFUO Blog™. No word from Jonathan Weber, running for the vacant Engineering seat.
LA ROTONDE, ENDORSING?: Rumour has it the University of Ottawa's French Language newspaper, La Rotonde, will be endorsing a candidate for the SFUO By-election. To add to the hype, the issue will only be released on Tuesday instead of the traditional Monday. The Fulcrum, the U of O's other newspaper, has not endorsed any candidates this year.

French platforms are there...

I love how this is a rumor wassim. We all know your going to do it. Are you trying to keep us in suspense?
Anonymous:
They're on the English portion of the website. If a Francophone were to log on to the SFUO Elections website "en Français", they would not be able to access the candidates' platforms.
Ramy:
It's a rumour until it's published!
Newspapers? What's that? Those dirty inky papery things? I prefer this thank you very much.
This is much more bourgeois in the new era. Especially when you view it with a brand spankin' new MacBook or on Wassim's iPhone.
I hate it when the campus media endorse a candidate. *sigh* Goodbye journalistic integrity and political objectivity...
Serge Miville:
We here at The SFUO Blog™ refer to it as the wPhone™.
The Pirate:
Can you elaborate?
J'espère que la rumeur au sujet de La Rotonde n'est qu'une excuse ridicule suite au retard occasionné par la tempête en pleine période de production.
Wassim : Admet ton complot bourgeois. Tu tentes galvaniser ton pouvoir afin de contrôler le prolétariat avec ton "w"Phone.
In short, it's a mustated iPhone.
